Change Your Existing Worktops
Happy with your existing kitchen but you’d like to change your old laminate worktops for new granite, quartz or silestone worktops? Maybe even add a small breakfast bar or reconfigure the layout slightly? At Granite Masters we call this our “Option 2”. Option 2 saves you both time and money hunting around for a new kitchen. Option 2 also saves you having to undergo the stress and mess which is associated with a whole new kitchen being fitted.
Replacing your existing worktops with new granite worktops can be achieved in a 2 day turnaround from the point we carry out the initial site survey. During the survey we’ll create template worktops and offer you one of our sink and tap combinations at cost price from our stock. Firstly, at Granite Masters we make our money from fabricating granite, quartz and silestone and don’t need to add markups to sinks and taps. Secondly, by choosing one of our sink and tap combinations enables us to progress with your worktops which reduces time which is wasted by having to wait for sinks and taps to arrive from stockists which can take up to 2 weeks. At Granite Masters once you receive our quote there’s no hidden extras and again you do not pay a penny until the job is 100% to your satisfaction.
Our Option 2 Includes:
Disconnection of your gas hob by one of our Gas Safe Registered Engineers. Alternatively, disconnection of your electric hob by one of our NICEIC Registered Electricians
Removal and Disposal of Existing Worktops
Removal of Sink and Taps
If existing worktops are 40mm with tiles or splashbacks which you plan to keep then we fit 10mm plywood to the base of existing base units prior to the installation of the 30mm granite, quartz or silestone worktops giving you the same desired height. If no tiles or splashbacks are present then plywood is not required and an idea for upstands may be a welcome addition
We reinstate hob, sink and taps, including new plumbing for undermount sink if applicable
Finally, we then seal the granite to the existing tiles or splashback
